Welcome to Willa-Ley Border Collies, where our passion for this incredible breed is woven into the fabric of our family life. Nestled on a charming property just outside of Singleton in the Hunter Valley, we are a close-knit family of five, blessed with three wonderful daughters aged 3, 9, and 11. Our home is filled with love, laughter, and the joyful presence of our beloved Border Collies, who are as much a part of our family as our children.
The Border Collie who captured our hearts and introduced us to the remarkable versatility and loyalty of this breed. Bandit was with us through some of life’s most significant milestones—our wedding, the birth of our children, and numerous house moves. His passing in January 2022 left an unfillable void in our lives. The silence in our home was deafening, and we quickly realized that life without a Border Collie was not for us.
As we searched for a new companion, we kept returning to the breed that had given us so much joy. Our love for Border Collies only deepened, leading us to establish a breeding program with the aim of sharing the wonderful traits of these dogs with other families.
Our first addition was Oakley, a charming chocolate boy from Forster/Tuncurry who won our hearts at first sight, even though we initially had our eyes on a different pup. Next came Skye, a petite and elegant black and white girl from Cowra, who enchanted us from the moment we met her. Finally, Harlow joined our family, chosen from her litter at just three days old, with striking features and a personality that captivated us. She hails from Ipswich, and our entire family, including Oakley and Skye, made the trip to welcome her home.
At Willa-Ley Border Collies, we are dedicated to breeding dogs with exceptional temperament and colour. Our dogs are not just pets; they are an integral part of our family, joining us on every adventure, whether we’re working on the property, enjoying time with our horses, or setting off on a camping trip. We believe that the love, care, and attention we give our dogs is reflected in the puppies we raise, making them the perfect addition to any family looking for a loyal, intelligent, and loving companion.
Each puppy that comes from Willa-Ley is, and always will be, part of our extended family. We are deeply committed to ensuring that none of our dogs ever end up in shelters. To that end, we offer lifetime breeder support to all our puppy owners. If, for any reason, a new home doesn’t work out, every puppy is always welcome back to their first home here with us. We want to ensure that all our dogs find loving, permanent homes and that they, and their new families, are supported every step of the way.

The name “Willa-Ley” holds a special place in our hearts, as it is a tribute to the three most important little people in our lives—our daughters, Willow, Melia, and Emily Ley. Combining their names, we created “Willa-Ley,” a name that reflects the love, care, and family values that are at the core of our breeding program.
Just as our daughters are the heart of our family, Willa-Ley Border Collies is a reflection of the warmth and commitment we bring to raising each and every one of our puppies.
